Mary S. Halteman, 87, of Harleysville, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, February 4, 2013 in Grand View Hospital, West Rockhill Twp. She was the beloved wife of 56 years to the late Raymond N. Halteman who died in January, 2003. Born in Morwood, she was a daughter of the late Alvin and Susan (Springer) Godshall. She was employed as a packer for the former Keller's Creamery in Harleysville for 17 years prior to her retirement in 1987. She previously worked at the former Standard Terry Mills in Souderton and for Alderfer's Bakery. Mrs. Halteman was a lifelong member of Franconia Mennonite Church. In her free time she enjoyed reading, puzzles, cross stitch, going to gospel concerts, cooking, gardening and most importantly, spending time with her family. She was very precise in sending birthday cards to everyone, making sure it arrived on the day. She is survived by four sons: Alvin Ray Halteman and his wife Nesi of Tucson, AZ, Robert G. Halteman and his wife Audrey of Souderton, Dennis Halteman and his wife Debbie of Sarasota, FL, Donald Lee Halteman and his wife Pamela of Perkasie, three daughters: Janet Eileen Michener and her husband Kenneth of Hatfield, Carol Sue Clemmer and her husband Daryl of Harleysville, Betty Jean Detweiler and her husband Laverne of Harleysville, 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, and a brother, Stanley Godshall of Quakertown. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a grandchild. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at 11 AM in the Franconia Mennonite Church, 613 Harleysville Pike, Telford, PA 18969. Interment will follow in the adjoining church cemetery. Family will receive friends from 9:30-11:00 AM prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Franconia Mennonite Church at the above address or to Grand View Hospice, 700 Lawn Ave., Sellersville, PA 18960.
