Mary Ellen Dontonville, 84, of Bernville, PA, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2026, at Penn State Health, St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Reading surrounding by her family.

            She was the beloved wife of the late Robert Dontonville who preceded her in death in 2012.

            Born in North Wales, PA, she was a daughter of the late Richard and Marcella (Delaney) Kadwill.

            Mary Ellen worked in healthcare and was employed as an office manager at Norristown Pulmonary Associates for 25 years and the former Adler Dermatology.

            In her free time, Mary Ellen enjoyed sewing, painting, playing the organ, shopping, especially on QVC, attending Broadway shows, and enjoyed going to concerts with Abba and Neil Diamond being her favorites. She also enjoyed trips to the beach including Myrtle Beach, SC and watching tv shows especially crime dramas. What she loved the most was spending time with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

            Mary Ellen is survived by two sons: Robert William Dontonville, Jr. and his wife Shelia of Quakertown, James Dontonville and his wife Melissa of Pennsburg, two daughters: Sharon Mecca and her husband James of Telford, and Eileen Tice and her husband Lawrence of Bernville, and Steve Harner of Va. Mary Ellen is also survived by her 12 grandchildren Gabrielle, Olivia and her husband Tom, Callie, Paul, Melissa and her wife Alisha, Brendan and his wife Jo, Erynn and her significant other Jason, Logan, Noah, Levi, Zoey and Maci. She is also survived by four great grandchildren Echoa, Nissa, Izzy and AJ. Mary Ellen is survived by her sister Marcella Mallette and many nieces and nephews.  She is also survived by her loving dog Maggie.

            She was preceded in death by a son, Andrew John Dontonville, a brother Richard Kadwill, and three infant grandchildren: Andrew Tice, and twins: Ian and Erik Mecca.

            A mass of Christian Burial with a visitation will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026, at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 445 N. Main Street, Sellersville, PA 18960 at 10:00AM. The family will receive friends from 9:00 until the time of the service.

           Interment will follow in the St. John Neumann Cemetery, 3797County Line Road, Chalfont, PA 18914.

            In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
