Obituary

Marjorie Anne Gehman, of Telford, PA, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at Grand View Hospital, West Rockhill Twp., PA.  She was 68.

Born in Sellersville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Kermit and Catharine (Magee) Gehman.

A graduate of Souderton High School, Souderton, PA, she attained her Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Kutztown University, Kutztown, PA, and later her Master's Degree in Special Education from Lehigh University, Bethlehem, PA.

Ms. Gehman was employed as a teacher for the Pathway School, Jeffersonville, PA, for most of her career as an educator until retiring in 2004.

She was a member of Souderton Mennonite Church, Souderton.

An avid reader, she also had an interest in genealogy and needlework.  Most of all, she will be remembered for her love for her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Lechowicz and her husband Marc, of Mt. Vernon, WA; two grandchildren; two brothers, Thomas Gehman and his wife Muriel, of Needham, MA, and Richard Gehman, of Hilliard, OH; and a sister, Elizabeth Lerch, of Portland, Oregon.  Marjorie is also survived by nephews Jason Gehman and Emil Lerch, and their families; and niece Bethany Gehman.

Funeral Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mennonite Heritage Center, 565 Yoder Road, Harleysville, PA  19438-1020.
