Marion L. Graver, formerly of Sellersville, PA, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2022, at the Community at Rockhill, West Rockhill Twp., PA. She was 92.
She was the wife of 42 years of the late Daniel S. Graver until his passing on October 16, 1993.
Born in Allentown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Guy S. and Edna (Youtz) Schrope. A 1947 graduate of Allentown High School, Allentown, PA, she attained her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education from Cedar Crest College, Allentown, in 1951, and completed graduate work at Lehigh University, Bethlehem, PA
Mrs. Graver taught Seventh Grade Science at the Pennfield Middle School, Hatfield, PA, in the North Penn School District from 1964 until retiring in 1992. Earlier, she taught Science and Home Economics in the Upper Perkiomen, Pennridge and Quakertown (night school) School Districts and as a substitute in the Souderton School District.
She was an active member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Sellersville, where she served on the Church Consistory, sang in the Church Choir, taught Sunday School, belonged to the Bible Study Group, and volunteered with the Endowment Fund Committee and Vacation Bible School. She was a former member of Grace Evangelical Congregational Church, Allentown.
Mrs. Graver volunteered at Grand View Hospital, West Rockhill Twp., PA, the "Care and Share" Thrift Shop, Souderton, PA, and the Bethany Children's Home, Womelsdorf, PA, over the years. She also was a former member of the Zion Choral Society Choir of Zionhill, PA.
She is survived by three children, James B. Graver and his wife Kathleen A., of East Rockhill Twp., PA, Anita L. Artt and her husband Paul, of Dallas, TX, and Paul A. Graver and his wife Corinne M., of Pine, CO; seven grandchildren, Kathleen Benner and her husband Eric, James Graver and his wife Susan, Angelica Wilz and her husband Aaron, Natalie Siebenaler and her husband Jared, Daniel Graver, Eric Comley and his wife Dayna, and Scott Comley and his wife Meredith; and ten great-grandchildren, Mason, Logan, Dylan and Carson Benner, Hannah Graver, Anastasia Wilz, Everett Siebenaler, and Wade, Brooke and Miles Comley. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Reed.
Her Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 22, 2022, at the Bernard Suess Funeral Home, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, PA, where family and friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Sellersville Cemetery.
