Marilyn A. Hagist, 96, of West Rockhill Township, Green Lane, PA,  passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at her residence.

Born in Abington, PA, Marilyn was the daughter of the late Emil  T. and Ellen (Mellor) Hagist.

Marilyn was a Prima Ballerina primarily with the Philadelphia Grand Opera Company for many years.  She was also an instructor/choreographer for the Surflight Theater in Beach Haven, New Jersey.  John Travolta was one of her early students. After her dancing career ended, she ran her own ballet school and later worked for many years with the Philadelphia College of Physicians in administration and also worked for over 20 years at Lauren's Hallmark in Dresher, PA.

Known as "Auntie M", Marilyn enjoyed watching baseball with the Philadelphia Phillies being her favorite team.  She enjoyed the Peanuts characters and watching the gameshow network.

She is survived by her niece Ruth Kehoe and her husband Sean of Green Lane, PA and her nephews Karl Warmkessel of Red Hill, PA., Paul Hagist, Thomas Hagist, and Donald Hagist all of Rhode Island. Marilyn is also survived by many great nephews and a great niece.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at Supplee Memorial Presbyterian Church, 855 Welsh Road, Maple Glen, PA 19002 at 11:00 AM. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.  Interment will be private at the convenience of the family at George Washington Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made for the music at the Supplee Presbyterian Church, 855 Welsh Road, Maple Glen, PA  19002.
