Hinkle
September 9, 1926 – June 19, 2024
Marian R. Hinkle, formerly of West Rockhill, PA, passed away at The Community at Rockhill, Sellersville, PA. She lived a long, beautiful life of 97 years.
She was the wife of Raymond A. Hinkle who passed away in 2012.
Marian was a daughter of the late Charles and Alice (Hendricks) Reed.
She spent most of her life as a Homemaker and eventually went on to work in the cafeteria at Pennridge High School. Marian was extremely competitive and enjoyed playing games, especially Yahtzee and anything else she was winning at. She was a true people person. It was fulfilling for Marian when she interacted with babies and was able to help others. She even spent much of her free time volunteering in various ways. Marian was funny and sassy but was especially notorious for being a family person.
Marian is survived by five children; Torry Hinkle and his wife Linda of Quakertown, PA, Cynthia Kornsey of Telford, PA, Jerry Hinkle of Green Lane, PA, Sharon Moyer and her husband Donald "Don" of Hilltown, PA, and Lori Stern and her husband Eddie of Martinsburg, PA. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren and a sister, Mary Yeakel of Hilltown, PA.
In addition to her husband and parents, Marian is predeceased by a son; Rodney Hinkle, a son-in-law; Charles Reich, and eight siblings; Charles Reed, Dorothy Underkoffler, Ida Allebach, Ellen Moore, Ethel Shoemaker, Arlene Schlossman, Gladys Lawrence, and Mae Wolf.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 28, 2024 at 11AM at Grace Bible Fellowship Church, 1811 Old Bethlehem Pike North, Quakertown, PA, 18951. Family will receive friends from 9:30-11, prior to the service. Interment is scheduled at 3PM at South Perkasie Evangelical Cemetery, Main & Market Streets, Perkasie, PA 18944.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Marian's name to Allentown Rescue Mission, 355 Hamilton St., Allentown, PA 18101. https://www.allentownrescuemission.org/ .
Arrangements are by Sadler-Suess Funeral Home & Crematory, Telford, PA.
