Margaret Smith, 78, of Telford, PA, died on July 17, 2025, after a battle against Lung Cancer and Pulmonary Fibrosis.

She was born in Philadelphia, the daughter of the late Arthur J. and Margaret McIlhone.  She was the loving wife of Erich D. Smith of Telford, PA.  They shared 36 years of marriage.

Margaret enjoyed cooking, knitting, reading, music, and spending time with family and friends.  She spent many happy summer vacations in Avalon, NJ.  For many years, she and her husband enjoyed sailing and canoeing on the Delaware River and Chesapeake Bay.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her brother, Eugene McIlhone and his wife Judi of Berwyn, PA and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her brother, Arthur J. McIlhone, Jr., of Tucson, AZ.

Margaret donated her body to the Humanity Gifts Registry of Pennsylvania for medical research and education.  The Registry will hold a memorial service for her and all other donors across the state in the coming year.

Gifts in memory of Margaret may be made to the American Lung Association or the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
