Louise M. Whitman, formerly of Perkasie, PA, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2024, at Phoebe Richland Health Care Center, Richlandtown, PA.  She was 95.

She was the loving wife of 61 years of the late Herbert Whitman until his passing on March 13, 2017.

Born in Bedminster, PA, she was the daughter of the late J. Leidy and Alice (Lear) Gruver.

A homemaker, Mrs. Whitman loved her role of taking care of her family.

She was a member of Re:New Bible Church (formerly known as First Baptist Church of Perkasie), Perkasie, PA, where she sang in the Church Choir and taught Vacation Bible School.

Mrs. Whitman especially enjoyed the family camping trips over the years.

She is survived by two children, Cheryl L.Soliday and her husband Daniel, of Perkasie, and Mark H. Whitman and his wife Dawn, of Northampton, PA; four grandchildren, Nathan Soliday and his wife Melissa, Steven Soliday and his wife Allyssa, Emma Whitman and Andrew Whitman; four great-grandchildren, Evelyn Soliday, David Soliday, Russell Soliday and Dalton Soliday; a brother, Walter Gruver, of Sellersville, PA; and a sister, Lorraine Myers, of Elmira, NY.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Sylvia Gruver, and two brothers, Roger and Raymond Gruver.

Graveside Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family in the Union Cemetery of Nockamixon, Ferndale, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Re:New Bible Church Missions Fund, 1600 N. Fifth Street, Perkasie, PA  18944.
