Louis J. Petro, of Green Lane and formerly of Perkasie, PA, passed away Monday, July 24, 2023, at his home.  He was 86.

He was the loving husband of 43 years of the late Lois A. (Howell) Petro until her passing on September 21, 2009.

Born in Ambler, PA, he was the son of the late Leonard Petro and the late Angelina (Mancuso) Petro Hostelley.

He was a proud U. S. Air Force Veteran, serving in the European Theatre during the Korean War.

Mr. Petro was employed as a group leader and inspector for Teleflex, Inc., North Wales, PA, for 38 years until retiring in 2000.

He was a dedicated member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Sellersville, PA.

Mr. Petro loved working with his hands as well as tending to his yard and maintaining his home.  He will be remembered for his fondness for animals, particularly his dog, Benji.

He is survived by a daughter, Penny M. Snider, of Green Lane, PA; a stepdaughter, Cindy L. Donnelly, of Quakertown, PA; a granddaughter, Tiffany R. Burkey and her husband John IV, of Trumbauersville, PA; three great-grandchildren, Mason Louis Snider, and Juliana and Mia Burkey; a brother, James Petro and his wife Patricia; and two half-sisters, Lorraine Stapleton and MaryAnn Wenrich.  In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Corbin Christopher Snider, on January 10, 2009.

Family and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Friday, July 28, 2023, at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 445 N. Main Street, Sellersville, PA.  Interment will follow in St. Andrew's Union Cemetery, Perkasie, PA.
