Louis A. Lista, of Hilltown Twp., PA, passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at his home.  He was 94.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Louis and Mary (Voso) Lista.  He was a 1947 graduate of John Bartram High School, Philadelphia, PA, where he was Team Captain of the City Championship Basketball Team.

Mr. Lista was a proud U. S. Air Force Veteran of the Korean War, having been stationed in Florida from 1951 to 1954.

He worked as a circuit breaker and switch gear assembler for L-3 Communications, Northeast Philadelphia, PA, for 32 years until retiring in 1986.

Mr. Lista was a member of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Hilltown, PA.

A member of the Catholic War Veterans organization in Philadelphia, he volunteered as a Boy Scout Leader for a number of years.  A sports enthusiast, he loved skiing as well as playing golf, basketball, tennis and racquetball.

Mr. Lista was especially fond of visiting his mountain home in Albrightsville, PA, and spending time with his friends at Murphy's Loft, Blakeslee, PA.  He will be remembered for years serving as a caregiver for his sisters, Emilia and Mary Jean, and his nephew, Philip.

He is survived by many nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Emilia Dezzi, Marion Rishkofski, Eleanor Talio and Mary Jean Lista, and a brother, Daniel Lista.

His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 100 Broad Street, Hilltown, PA, 18927, where family and friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.

Interment will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 1, 2023, in Holy Cross Cemetery, 626 Baily Road, Yeadon, PA  19050.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, P. O. Box 31, Hilltown, PA  18927, or to Grand View Hospice, 700 Lawn Avenue, Sellersville, PA  18960.
