The sweetest lady ever, Lillian Catherine (Schnable) King passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2026.

            She was born on June 19, 1923, in Sellersville, PA to Elwood and Sevilla Schnable; the youngest of three children. She grew up in Hatfield, PA and lost her father in her teens.

            She graduated from Hatfield Consolidated High School, class of 1941. She worked for many years as a sewer at Hanson Textiles in Hatfield making long lasting friendships.

            Lillian married the love of her life, Arthur King, on May 23, 1943. She followed Arthur during the war years to Louisiana where he was stationed. They had their only child, Arthur Jr., there.

            She was a woman of great faith and was very involved at Immanuel Leidy’s Church in Souderton, PA. She helped in many areas there, such as the rummage sale, strawberry festival, Evangelican Explosion and many others. She also enjoyed quilting and gardening.

            Her husband Arthur, her sister Jesse, and her brother Albert as well as her parents predeceased her. She is survived by her son Arthur P. King, Jr., and his wife JoAnn, a granddaughter Beth and her husband Kerry Croissette.

            A service with visitation will be held on Monday, August 24, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Lutheran Community at Telford in the Rose Chapel. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Lillian’s honor to Immanuel Leidy’s Church, 273 W. Cherry Lane, Souderton, PA 18964.
