Robert Horvath
February 11, 1925 – February 27, 2022
Lewis Robert "Bo" Horvath, of Marlboro, VT, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2022, at the Community at Rockhill, West Rockhill Twp., PA. He was 97.
He was the husband of the late Phyliss (Gainer) Horvath who passed away May 23, 2002.
Born in Milford, CT, he was the son of the late David and Mary (Nagy) Horvath.
A U. S. Navy Veteran, Mr. Horvath proudly served on the U.S.S. Iowa during his 3+ years of service in World War II.
He was employed as an industrial truck lift mechanic for Monarch Equipment, Milford, CT, for over 25 years until retiring.
A proud American, Mr. Horvath was a member of the American Legion Post No. 5, Brattleboro, VT. He was multi-talented with his hands, fixing things, gardening and woodworking particularly tables and toys. He especially loved spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by two daughters, Paula Horvath Borzillo and her husband Ronald, and Kathie Horvath McGill and her husband Roger, all of Barefoot Bay, FL; four grandchildren; Tracy Cepaniewski and her husband Jim, of Unionville, CT, Carrie Borzillo and her husband Eric, of Los Angeles, CA, Kellie Leight and her husband Kerry of Perkasie, PA, and Patrick McGill and his wife Melanie, of Nuremberg, Germany; five great-grandchildren, John Maguire and his wife Nazly, Ryan Maguire, Kacie Leight, Nick Leight and Zoe McGill; a brother-in-law, William Gainer and his wife Marilyn, of Southington, CT; many nieces and nephews; and an honorary grandson, Chris Borzillo and his wife Debby, of Wallingford, CT. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, David Horvath and two sisters, Wilma Gerner and Ethel Mayernick.
Graveside Services with Military Honors will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at Kings Highway Cemetery, 271 Cherry Street, Milford, CT.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Post No. 5, 32 Linden Street, Brattleboro, VT 05301, Marlboro Cares, P. O. Box 222, Marlboro, VT 05344, or to Rescue, Inc., 541 Canal Street, Brattleboro, VT 05301.
Arrangements are by the Bernard Suess Funeral Home, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, PA.
