Obituary

Kenneth R. Roth, formerly of Hilltown Twp., PA, passed away Sunday, August 7, 2022, at Genesis Quakertown Center, Quakertown, PA.  He was 98.

He was the loving husband of nearly 64 years of the late Winifred L. (Allen) Roth until her passing on September 14, 2006.

Born in Allentown, PA, he was the son of the late Charles and Lillian (Grube) Roth.  He was a 1941 graduate of Souderton High School, Souderton, PA.

Mr. Roth was employed as an assembler for the former U. S. Gauge Division, AMETEK, Inc., Sellersville, PA, for 37 years until retiring in the 1980's.

He served with the U. S. Merchant Marines.

Mr. Roth had several hobbies, perhaps the most prevalent having an urge to travel.  Among many other trips, he and his wife rode, via Canadian Pacific Railroad, on two occasions from Toronto, Ontario, to the West Coast at Vancouver, British Columbia.  This is a trip no longer offered but was popular during the 1960's and 1970's.  The State of Colorado was another favorite destination of the couple.  They enjoyed visiting the one-time mining camp towns of Cripple Creek and Leadville, among many others.  An animal lover, he was especially fond of his cats.  He enjoyed following politics, watching television and collecting coins.

He is survived by two sons, Terrance L. Roth and his wife Virginia, of Temple, PA, and Wayne R. Roth and his companion, Virginia, of Quakertown, PA; two grandchildren, Leroy Roth, of Kentucky, and Clarisa Roth, of Reading; and six great-grandchildren.  In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Marvin Roth, and a sister, Miriam Beck.

Family and friends are invited his Graveside Services to be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, August 11, 2022, at Zion Hill Cemetery, 2966 N. Old Bethlehem Pike, Zion Hill, PA.
