December 25, 1928 – April 29, 2022
Kenneth Frederick Crush, of Macungie, PA, passed away Friday, April 29, 2022, at his
home.
He was the loving husband to Verna F. (Gross) Crush. The couple would have celebrated
their 70th wedding anniversary this November.
Born in South Allentown, PA, he was the son of the late Harvey G. and Helen F. (Sallade)
Crush. He was a 1949 Graduate of Pennsylvania School for the Deaf, Mt. Airy, PA, where he
served as class president.
Mr. Crush was employed as a printer for Montgomery Publishing Company, Fort
Washington, PA, for over 42 years.
He and his wife attended Line Lexington Mennonite Church, Line Lexington, PA, for 24
years.
Mr. Crush was very active in the deaf community. He served as Treasurer for Deaf
Crusade for Christ, was a board member for American Ministries to the Deaf, member of
Pennsylvania Society Association for the Deaf (PSAD), and was a lay preacher for the deaf. An
avid Philadelphia sports fan, Mr. Crush would watch various sports and in his earlier years he
also played basketball, baseball, football, and participated in track. Most importantly, Kenneth
loved his family and friends, and was a good provider and known for his patience.
Surviving with his wife are his two sons, Henry Crush and his wife Deborah, of Alburtis,
PA, and Barry Crush, of North Wales, PA; ten grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. He
is preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Crush; three sisters, Lorraine Felix, Betty McGouldrick,
and Carol Lancelotti.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at Line Lexington
Mennonite Church, 80 Hilltown Pike, Line Lexington, PA 18932. Interment will be held
privately for family members.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Line Lexington Mennonite Church, P.O. Box
217 Line Lexington, PA, 18932, or to Fellowship Christian High School, 51 Hillmond Street,
Bethlehem, PA, 18018.
Arrangements are by the Bernard Suess Funeral Home, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, PA.
