February 12, 1943 – September 6, 2025
Kathryn L. "Kathy" Cassel 82 formerly of North Wales, passed away Saturday, September 6, 2025, in the Hospice House of St. Luke's VNA in Bethlehem.
She was beloved wife to the late Donald Cassel.
Born in Germantown, she was a daughter of the late James and Kathryn (Malin) Park.
She was employed as an administrative assistant for Pennridge School District, Kathy previously worked for American Healthways in Lansdale as an administrative assistant and as Personnel Secretary for the Wissahickon School District.
Kathy was passionate about children's literacy and spent her free time enjoying reading and volunteering in the North Wales Library. She also enjoyed spending lunch time out with family and friends. She enjoyed traveling and spending time in her flower garden, she also spent time feeding and watching the many birds that visited her gardens. Kathy was widely known to enjoy celebrating the holiday season, especially the Christmas and Easter holidays.
Kathy was a Member of the North Penn Goodwill Ladies Auxiliary where she served as secretary and the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #14 auxiliary where she served as secretary, supporting her late husband Officer Donald Cassel.
Kathy is survived by a son Dale Rush and his wife Sherry of Perkasie, Kathy is also survived by brothers, Randall Park, Michael Park, Eddie Park and Kevin Park, as well as sisters; Margaret "Peg" Chavar and Janet Marinari, she is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Jessica, Amber, Allyson and Glen, and 12 Great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Kathy was preceded in death by a daughter Marjorie Sue, and great granddaughter Emmalynn Rose.
Memorial Services will be held on Friday September 12, 2025, at 11:00AM in the Sadler-Suess Funeral Home, 33 N. Main St. Telford. Family will receive friends from 10:00AM until time of service in the Funeral Home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family in in George Washington Memorial Park Plymouth Meeting Pa. Memorial Contributions can be made in Kathy's honor to the North Wales Public Library 223 S. Swartley St. North Wales, PA. 19454.
