Obituary

Karen M. Simons Toth, of Bedminster Township, passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones on Friday, February 20, 2026, at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

Born in Sellersville, Karen was the beloved daughter of the late Gerald L. and Florence M. (Seese) Simons. She was a proud 1983 graduate of Pennridge High School and went on to earn a degree in Business Administration from Bucks County Community College in 1988.

Though many knew her affectionately as "Booey" from her time at the Keystone Diner, Karen devoted her adult life to working and serving the community where she was raised. In Hilltown, she built a career as a respected, self-employed accountant and bookkeeper, supporting many with care, integrity, and dedication. She also volunteered at the Hilltown voting polls for ten years, a role she truly enjoyed, especially as she shared that experience with her mother, Florence.

Karen's Catholic faith guided her life, but it was her everyday kindness, generosity, and compassion that truly defined her. She had a remarkable gift for bringing people together, as if it were her calling to make every person feel seen, valued, and needed. This was especially true through her welcoming spirit, her warmth as a host, and incredible cooking; she was a wonderful homemaker and an exceptional baker - happiest when providing, preparing favorite dishes, and crafting sweet treats simply to delight those around her. Her home was a place of welcome, storytelling, and endless laughter — a reflection of her deep love for family and friends. For these reasons, family gatherings, Sunday dinners, holidays, birthday celebrations, and even spontaneous visits were made special by her love and laughter.

Karen is survived by her cherished son, Collin J. Toth, and his father, Edward J. Toth, both of Sellersville; her loving companion and partner, Theodore "Ted" Harrison and his daughters, Tammy, Savanna, and Nicolette; her sisters, Theresa M. Simons and her husband, John Pusey, of Berwyn, Kathleen J. Simons of Sellersville, and Margaret D. Simons of Sellersville; her brothers, Robert J. Simons and his wife, Deb, of Newberry, South Carolina, Lloyd J. Simons and his wife, Karla, of Warminster, and Thomas C. Simons of Manhattan, New York; her sister-in-law, Lauren Simons of Hatboro; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Gerald M. Simons and Daniel P. Simons.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 27, 2026, at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 100 Broad Street, Hilltown, where family and friends may visit from 9:30 to 11:00 AM. Interment will be held privately at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
