Deesing
October 11, 1933 – February 1, 2024
June L. Deesing, formerly of Ottsville, PA, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2024, at Quakertown Center – Genesis Health Care, Quakertown, PA. She was 90.
She was the loving wife of 43 years of the late Edward F. Deesing until his passing on October 11, 2006. She was preceded in death by her first husband, John T. Litsch, Sr., in 1960.
Born in Coledale, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ronald and Beatrice Heisler. She was a 1951 graduate of Mahanoy City High School, Mahanoy City, PA.
Mrs. Deesing was employed as a retail clerk for the former Consignment Horizons Shop, Doylestown, PA, for 40 years until retiring in 2008.
She was a former member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Ottsville, PA.
Mrs. Deesing had a passion for playing bingo, attending fire house and hall bingo parties throughout the area over the years. In her free time, she enjoyed solving word search and Sudoku puzzles as well as knitting. She had a special interest in fashion and jewelry, and she loved attending auctions and flea markets with her late husband Edward.
She is survived by three daughters, Mary A. Spier, of Ottsville, PA, Anne M. Bearns and her husband Gary, of Sellersville, PA, and Deborah A. Nace and her husband William M., of Quakertown, PA; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Cheryl Nelson, of Loveland, CO. In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, John T. Litsch, Jr.
Graveside Services with interment in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, Ottsville, PA, will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that one should "pay it forward" and perform an act of kindness in her honor and memory.
Arrangements are by the Suess-Gahman Funeral Home & Crematory, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, PA.
