Joshua David "Josh" Derry, of Hummelstown and formerly of Perkasie, PA, passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at his home.  He was 43.

Born in Valparaiso, IN, he was the son of the late Sharon Kay (Thompson) Derry, who died in 1998, and Gary E. Derry and his wife Linda J. (Sassaman) Derry, of Sellersville, PA. He was a 2000 graduate of Pennridge High School, Perkasie.

Josh worked in security for Hershey Park, Hershey, PA, for two years.  Previously, he was employed by the Bucks County Free Library for five years.

In addition to helping autistic children, he was a dedicated supporter of "The Giving Keys".  Josh was a sports enthusiast, particularly of football and the Philadelphia Eagles.  He loved investments as well as buying and selling collectibles.  Josh was known to be a "Sneakerhead" and was especially fond of his "Jordans".  An avid fisherman, he loved rescuing animals and dogs including his dog "Indy" rescued from Hurricane Katrina and his dog "Lilly".

Surviving with his father and stepmother are his life partner, Katrina E. Rivera, of Hummelstown; a brother, Daniel Paul "Dan" Derry, of Pennsburg, PA; two sisters, Shauna Rae Derry, of Souderton, PA, and Devyn Elizabeth Derry, of Perkasie; an uncle, Joe R. Thompson, of Perkasie; and many other aunts, uncles and cousins.

His Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at the Suess-Gahman Funeral Home & Crematory, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, PA, where family and friends may call from 10:00 to 11:30 AM.  Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
