Joseph F. Talaber, Jr. of Quakertown and formerly of Souderton, PA, passed away Friday, June 5, 2026, at Genesis Healthcare Center, Quakertown, PA. He was 77.

          He was the loving husband of Deborah A. (Gruver) Talaber. The couple would have celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary on July 17.

          Born in Sellersville, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph F. and Jennie A. (Swierzewski) Talaber, Sr. He was a 1967 graduate of Quakertown Community High School, Quakertown, where we also attended Upper Bucks County Technical School, Perkasie, PA, for Culinary Arts.

          A chef at heart, Mr. Talaber spent 55 years at the Roy Ann Diner in Sellersville, PA, where his love for cooking was evident in all he did until his retirement.

          Jospeh was a former member of St. Isidore’s Catholic Church, Quakertown.

          A life member of the Perseverance Volunteer Fire Company, Souderton, Mr. Talaber served as a dedicated volunteer firefighter and could often be found helping with the firehouse breakfasts, most notably for his popular made-to-order omelets.

          He was a member of the North Penn Gun Club, as well as the Keelersville Club and the Betterment Club. He especially loved cooking, along with hunting, fishing, and camping, but most of all cherished the time he spent with his family and friends. Among his most treasured possessions was his black 1996 Chevrolet Corvette LT4.

         Surviving with his wife are two children, Jeffrey S. Talaber and his wife Jaynell, of Buford, GA, and Michelle L. Roberts and her husband James, of Allentown, PA; four grandchildren, Juliet, Jenevieve, John, and Jarrett; and a brother Timothy C. Talaber and his wife Cindy, of Coopersburg, PA; along with two nieces Diane Talaber-Kepner and Tracy Talaber-Adams.

          His Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at the Sadler-Suess Funeral Home & Crematory, 33. N. Main Street, Telford, PA, where family and friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will be held at a later date in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Perkasie, PA.
