John Joseph Goetter, 97, of Telford, and a lifelong resident of Hatfield, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2022, in the Lutheran Community at Telford. He was the beloved husband of Erna (Murphy) Goetter.

Born in Hatfield, he was a son of the late Ference Josef and Katharina (Bold) Goetter.

Mr. Goetter was the owner operator of Goetters Drycleaners. He also worked for Brooks Instruments, Hatfield. In his spare time Mr. Goetter enjoyed spending time with his family as well as watching baseball games and spending time outdoors, fishing and walking in the woods. John enjoyed woodworking and made the cradle his granddaughter used. Mr. Goetter loved local history and as such, was a charter member of the Hatfield Museum and Historical Society.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters Andrea Liedlich and her husband William of Allentown. Carol Perry of Hatfield and a Son; John C. Goetter of New Ringold. Five grandchildren; Joanna, Cara, Gregory, Kyle, and Joshua. 4 great grandchildren; Charlotte, Ryan, Liam, and Evan. John is also survived by 2 brothers, Rudolph Goetter and his wife Shirley of Hatfield and Herman Goetter and his wife Peggy of Harleysville.  He was preceded in death by a son:  John A. Goetter in 1950 and his first wife Jane (Hartranft) who passed away in 1999.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday August 23 ^rd at 11:00AM at the Sadler-Suess Funeral Home, 33 N Main St. Telford, PA 18969. Interment will follow in Grace Lutheran Cemetery, Hatfield Pike, Hatfield, PA. Family will receive family and friends from10:00- 11:00am prior to the service.
