Obituary

John F. Becker, Jr., of Perkasie, PA, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at Quakertown Center – Genesis Health Care, Quakertown, PA.  He was 76.

He was the loving husband of Colleen M. (Fuhrman) Becker.  The couple had celebrated their 55th Wedding Anniversary on August 30, 2024.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, and raised in Hilltown, PA, he was the son of the late John F. Sr. and Maxine (Poore) Becker.  He was a 1967 graduate of Pennridge High School, Perkasie, PA.

John was employed as a Store Manager for Shelly's Building Supply, Perkasie, for a number of years until retiring in 2018.  Previously, he served as a Regional Manager in the Grocery Division and as a Store Manager at the Quakertown, PA, location of the Kmart Co.  Earlier, he was a Store Manager for the former Clemens Markets at various store locations over the course of many years.

He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose No. 1539, Sellersville, PA.

John loved baseball and golf.  A classic cars enthusiast, he proudly owned many Ford Mustangs with his 1968 white Ford Mustang being his pride and joy.  In addition to working on old cars, he loved driving the open road throughout the United States.

Surviving with his wife are two sons, John F. Becker and his wife Mona, of Perkasie, and Kevin G. Becker and his partner Rebekah Lane, of Orlando, FL; a brother, Herman M. Becker, of Mt. Pocono, PA; five sisters, Linda Stauffer and her husband Kenneth, of High Point, NC, Maxine Trauger and her husband Bruce, of Hatfield, PA, Trudy Thomas, of Sellersville, PA, Margaret "Peggy" Johnson and her husband Michael, of Springtown, PA, and Janet Kline and her husband Richard, of Revere, PA; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at Becker's Corner, 110 Old Bethlehem Road, Quakertown, PA  18951.  The dress Code will be Baseball or Classic Car attire.  Seating capacity is 55, so please stagger arrival.
