Joanne S. Rankin, of Bedminster Twp., PA, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2022, at her home.  She was 88.

She was the loving wife of Alexander Rankin, 5.  The couple celebrated their 66 ^th Wedding Anniversary on June 30, 2022.

Born in Park Ridge, IL, she was the daughter of the late John F. and Lois (Waskow) Sittig.  A 1952 graduate of Barrington High School, Barrington, IL, she attained her Associate's Degree from Bradford Junior College, Bradford, MA.  She also furthered her studies at the University of Illinois where she met her husband.

Mrs. Rankin was a member and Visitation Volunteer of Re:New Bible Church, Perkasie, PA. She was a former member of Hilltown Baptist Church, Hilltown, PA, where she sang in the Church Choir, taught Sunday school and was active with visitation.

She had a penchant for taking art classes and playing tennis; but, her greatest joy was with taking care of her family.

Surviving with her husband are two children, Heather R. Doherty and her husband John, of Telford, PA, and Scott Rankin and his wife Sharon, of Dresher, PA; six grandchildren, Gwenn Woodall, Bonnie Gregory, Karah Davies, Alec Rankin, Rob Rankin and Melanie Rankin; four great-grandchildren, Harper Gregory, Medea Gregory, Ellis Davies and Henry Davies; and a sister, Robin Wright, of Kenosha, WI.

Family and friends are invited to attend her Celebration of Life Service to be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, January 13, 2023, at the Re:New Bible Church, 1600 North Fifth Street, Perkasie, PA, where family and friends may call from 2:00 to 3:00 PM.
