Joanne L. Marshall, a 35-year resident of Perkasie, PA, and formerly of Colts Neck, NJ, passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at the age of 71, at her home.
She was the loving wife of William H. Marshall who she married on March 6, 1982, in Houston, TX.
She was the daughter of the late John F. and Marguerite (Gravatt) Riley of Colts Neck, NJ. Born in Neptune, NJ, Joanne was raised in Colts Neck, until prior to high school when her parents moved to Freehold, NJ.
A homemaker, Joanne once served with the U. S. Army Signal Corp as a Telecommunications Operator.
Joanne volunteered as one of the original members of the Perkasie Park & Recreation Board, organizing the Fall Festival for Perkasie Borough, for the first several years. During this time, Joanne also founded the Pennridge Women's Network, a support group for moms and their children, which is still operating today. During her lifetime, Joanne enjoyed many hobbies and artistic interests but in particular Ukrainian Easter egg decorating and a lifelong fascination in family history.
Surviving with her husband of 42 years are a son, Bryan Marshall, of, Perkasie; a stepdaughter-in-law Michelle Marshall, of Spring, TX; a grandchild, Logan Riley Marshall; stepgrandchildren, Wade and Collins Marshall; her sister-in-law, Peggy Riley, of Nolensville, TN; a nephew, Michael Weaver, of Springfield, VA; nieces, Kimberly Weaver and her daughter Anna, of Falls Church, VA, and Kathleen Nieves and her husband Daniel, of Nolensville, TN, and their sons Lucas, Landon and Liam Nieves; and a nephew-in-law, Daniel Dow, of Plainville, MA.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a stepson, David A. Marshall; her brother, James E. Riley and his eldest daughter, Michelle Dow; her sister, Kathryn Weaver, and her brother-in-law, Richard Weaver.
Graveside Services with Military Honors will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at St. Stephen's United Church of Christ Cemetery, 1101 West Market Street, Perkasie, PA.
