Jerry J. Wieand, of Hilltown Twp., PA, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2024, at Grand View Hospital, West Rockhill Twp., PA.  He was 81.

He was the loving husband of Marginnell "Marge" J. (Frick) Wieand.  The couple had celebrated their 59th Wedding Anniversary on July 25, 2023.

Born in Quakertown, PA, he was the son of the late Clark J. and Emily H. (Kressler) Wieand.  He was a 1960 graduate of Quakertown High School, Quakertown, PA, and served on the Class Reunion Committee.

He was a proud U. S. Marines Veteran, having been stationed in Japan during his service from 1960 to 1962.

Mr. Wieand had been employed as an oil burner technician for the former Heston Swartley Co., Sellersville, PA, for 34 years until retiring in 2002.  Then, he worked for the Bachman Joy Construction Co., Telford, PA, operating large excavation equipment for five years before retiring there.

Lutheran in faith, he enjoyed traveling on the East Coast, target shooting and playing cards especially "Hand & Foot". Mr. Wieand was a NASCAR fan for many years, and he loved to watch Netflix.  He also loved to travel and spend time with his Marine Buddy, Jim Simpson and his family in New York and Florida.  A member of the Loyal Order of Moose No. 1539, Sellersville, PA, and the Haycock Historical Society, Haycock, PA, he was active with the Pennridge Community Center, Perkasie, PA.

Surviving with his wife are two children, Jeffrey T. Wieand, of Souderton, PA, and Kelly R. Wieand Doughty and her husband Thomas J., of Sellersville, PA.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Larry H. Wieand.

His Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 31, 2024, at the Suess-Gahman Funeral Home & Crematory, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, PA, where family and friends may call from 9:00 to 11:00 AM.
