Jerilee A.
Nichols
May 8, 1951 – December 5, 2020
Jerilee Nichols, 69, passed away peacefully at 6:30 PM on December 5, 2020, in Quakertown , Pennsylvania.
Jerilee was a local Bucks County artist for over 30 years. She was multi-talented in the areas of painting, sculpture, drawing, fused glass and so much more. Her art was not so much a choice but a way of life and the vehicle through which she expressed the beauty that she saw in everything around her.
Jerilee was well known for her free spirit, positive outlook and love of life. She loved her community and was devoted to her friends and family.
Jer worked with her hands all of her life. Most of those who knew her can picture her with a cigarette in her mouth, a coffee in one hand and a paintbrush in the other. For many years she was a freelance house painter and specialized in beautiful faux finish work. Her work, including a mural that she painted, can still be found at McCoole's Red Lion Inn 4 South Main St, Quakertown Pa.
She found her true creative love in fused glass in 2007 when she began working for Morgan Bockius Studios in Perkasie, PA. There she met her best friend, Warren Morgan, and they worked together making glass until 2019.
Jerilee was born the daughter of the late Robert and Bert Nichols, in Elizabeth, NJ. She is survived by her children, Lily Corina Paulovic, of Perkasie, PA, and Reda Ben Bahi and Nabil Bahi, both of East Hampton, NY; her sister, Dawn Nichols, of Gainesville, FL; grandchildren Paloma, Ryder and Max Bahi, and Ava Paulovic and Jackson Lenzo; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her loving brothers, Arthur Nichols, of Florham Park, NJ, and Chip Nichols, of Hoboken, NJ.
Jerilee will be greatly missed but her gift of Joy will live on in all those that knew and loved her.
A party in her honor, COVID willing, will be held sometime in 2021 in the Bucks County area where her art will be showcased. To be kept up to date on the event, please email her daughter jerileenicholsmemorial@gmail.com.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Quakertown Train Station Historical Society. Jerilee played a major part in the restoration of the train station, one of her proudest and most enjoyed accomplishments. (215)-536-9155, info@quakertowntrainstation.org
Arrangements are by the Bernard Suess Funeral Home, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, PA.
