Jean Z. Haring of the Community at Rockhill died on Sunday, June 11, 2023.  She was 102 years old.

Jean was the wife of the late Ray E. Haring whom she married in 1942.

Born in Bally, Pennsylvania, Jean, daughter of Arthur and Mayme (Epler) Shaffer, was one of eleven children. After graduating high school Jean spent most of her life caring for her family and maintaining a loving Christian home.  Jean was an active member of the First Church of Brethren in Quakertown where she participated in the choir and played the organ and the piano.  She shared her talents by organizing and co-directing many of the church plays.  Jean also volunteered with a myriad of church committees and platforms.  She was the organizer for the Church's 'Guess Who's Coming to Dinner' and also helped with the health kits and flower centerpieces for the church's community meals.  Jean also ran the luncheonette at Haring's Barn in Quakertown which she and her husband owned and operated.  In her spare time, Jean was a seamstress and enjoyed needlework.

Jean is survived by a daughter, Donna Clymer (Gerald) of DeLand, FL and a son, Jeffrey Haring (Jane) of Quakertown; grandchildren, Michelle Accola, Melissa Royer, Jason Haring; great-grandchildren Nathan Evans, Alexandra Evans, Kaitlyn Accola and Caleb Royer.

In addition to her husband and parents, Jean is predeceased by her ten siblings.

Services will be held on Friday, June 16th, 2023 at 10:30AM at the First Church of the Brethren Quakertown, 455 Trumbauersville Rd, Quakertown, PA 18951. A visitation is scheduled prior to the service from 9:30AM to 10:30AM.  Interment will be private at St. John's Cemetery, Juniper St & S 10th St. Quakertown, PA 18951.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Church of the Brethren Quakertown, 455 Trumbauersville Rd, Quakertown, PA 18951.  Arrangements by Sadler-Suess Funeral Home. www.sadlersuessfuneralhome.net
