Janet Landis
Blum
November 2, 1963 – October 15, 2025
Janet Landis Blum, 61, of Telford, passed away peacefully at home on October 15, 2025, surrounded by her family. Born in Long Island, NY, she was the daughter of Glenda Godshall Landis and the late Elias A. Landis Jr. She was the beloved wife, best friend, and soulmate of Bob Blum Jr. for 38 years.
Janet served as the bookkeeper and office manager for the family-owned business, Blum Contractors LLC. She lived with Parkinson's for 18 years, treating it with a holistic approach, which led her to train in Shiatsu, Craniosacral, Reiki, and Reflexology. She found joy in connecting with nature, caring for her animals and others, and spending time with her family. A gentle-hearted and devoted wife, mother, daughter, and friend, Janet was deeply appreciated for her compassionate spirit, listening ear, and willingness to help anyone in need.
In addition to her husband and mother, Janet is survived by her three children: Liesl Eberly and husband Adam, Dexter Blum, and Cozette Blum. She is also survived by her sister, Sally Derstine (Doug; Jason, Alyssa, Emily) and her brother, Kevin Landis (Janet; Albert, Annie).
A celebration of life will be held at the Tylersport Fire Hall on Saturday, October 25, from 1:00-4:00pm. There will be an optional circle sharing time from 3:00-4:00pm. Feel free to celebrate Janet's vibrant life by wearing color and casual clothes.
Driven by her desire to help others, she donated her brain to The University of Maryland School of Medicine to be studied and further Parkinson's research.
The family wishes to thank Doylestown Hospice Care, who respected her wishes and helped her to be comfortable in her last few weeks.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Janet's memory may be made to Doylestown Hospice Care, William Way Lgbt Community Center, or HIAS Pennsylvania.
Namaste
