James Herschel. Phillips Jr. 91 of Telford, passed away unexpectedly on June 7, 2023, at his home.

He was the loving husband to Alice Janet (Potts) Phillips, having celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary in April.

Born in Harriman Tennessee, he was one of nine children born to the late James Herschel and Bonnie (Jett) Phillips Sr.

James worked as an assistant manager for the former Charles Chips Company for over 30 years before retiring.

An avid outdoorsman, James loved spending time hunting and fishing, James was a member of North Penn Church of Christ where he had served as sexton for many years. James did enjoy spending time with his family and following their various endeavors.

In addition to his wife, James is survived by son Steven of Sellersville, Daughters, Terri Lynn Shoch, and her husband Michael of Breinigsville, Kim Phillips of Rougemont NC. James is also survived by five grandchildren: Jason, Janet, Calvin, Jenna, and Avery. And great grandchildren; Alexis, Ryley, Sienna, Noah, and Knox. James is also survived by brother: Jerry, and sisters Wanda Landis and Peggy Corsetti.

Memorial services for James will be held at 10:00am on Thursday June 15, 2023, at the North Penn Church of Christ, 300 North Wales Road, North Wales PA. 19454. Interment will be at 1:30 PM in Grace Lutheran Cemetery, Hatfield. Memorial contributions can be made in James' honor to the North Penn Church of Christ.
