James S. Marko, of Perkasie, PA, passed away Monday, March 23, 2026, at Elm Terrace Gardens, Lansdale, PA.  He was 78.

He was the loving husband of Paula (Eames) Marko.  The couple celebrated their 54th Wedding Anniversary on April 24, 2025.

Born in Tuscarora, PA, he was the son of the late John and Julia (Cromyak) Marko.  He was a 1965 graduate of Souderton Area High School, Souderton, PA.

Jim was a proud U. S. Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War, having served on the USS Wasp aircraft carrier during his enlistment from 1966 until his honorable discharge in 1970.

He joined First National Bank & Trust of Newtown, Newtown, PA, in June 1986, working in the Computer Department until his promotion to corporate officer in 2005 and retiring as data operations manager in February 2013.  Notably, he organized the company's golf outings over the years.  Earlier, he was employed by the former American Olean Tile Co., Lansdale, PA, for a number of years.

Jim was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Sellersville, PA, where he served as Church Usher and was active with the Pastoral Council and CYAA.

Jim was an avid golfer and coordinated the Annual Hilltown Sportsmen Club Golf Outing as the Treasurer for many years until 2025.  He also pitched for the Souderton Warriors Baseball Team in the Perky League.  He loved taking trips to the beach and going on road trips up and down the East Coast, especially to Maine, New Hampshire, and Walt Disney World in Florida.

Surviving with his wife are a daughter, Erin M. Moeser and her husband Justin, of Perkasie; three grandchildren, Nicholas James, Mia Elizabeth and Justin Daniel; a sister-in-law, Jennie Marko, of Chalfont, PA; a brother-in-law, Russell Clemmer, Sr., of Pottstown, PA; and many nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four siblings, Joseph, John, Joanne, and Priscilla.

His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 30, 2026, at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 445 N. Main Street, Sellersville, PA, where family and friends may call from 9:30 to 10:45 AM.  Interment will follow in the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery, Doylestown, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Agnes Memorial Fund, 445 N. Main Street, Sellersville, PA  18960.
