James W. Baskin, of Hilltown Twp., PA, passed away suddenly on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at his home.  He was 86.

He was the loving husband of Donna K. (Koehler) Baskin.  The couple had celebrated their 59th Anniversary on May 8, 2024.

Born in Abington, PA, he was the son of the late Harry D. "Hap" and Hazel (Robinson) Baskin.

A self-employed welder and fabricator, Mr. Baskin owned and operated Baskin Welding for 20 years until retiring in 2007.  He also was a farmer, raising beef cattle and crops such as soybeans, hay, rye and wheat.

He proudly served in the U. S. Navy from 1961 to 1962 and then with the Navy Reserves from 1963 to 1964.

Mr. Baskin was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Deep Run, Perkasie, PA.

A hot rod enthusiast, he owned his own 1938 Chevy pick-up truck that he showed at various local car shows over the years.  An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting in his younger years and tending to his farm.

Surviving with his wife are two children, J. Drew Baskin and his wife Cindy, of Green Lane, PA, and Kelly L. Baskin, of Hilltown Twp.; three grandchildren, Tyler Baskin, Brittany Keefer and her husband Tyler, and Jennifer Rodzewich; and a sister, Susan Wulf and her husband Russell, of Boynton Beach, FL.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Terry and Robert Baskin.

Funeral Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Doylestown Health's Woodall Center for Heart and Vascular Care, 595 West State Street, Doylestown, PA 18901.
