Jade Walton
Snyder
July 11, 1941 – December 22, 2023
Jade Walton Snyder of Silverdale, PA passed away on Friday, December 22, 2023, at Penn Presbyterian Hospital, Philadelphia, PA. He was 82 years old.
He was the loving husband of Joan R. Snyder (Raab). The couple celebrated 56 years of marriage this past August.
Born in Mt. Carmel, PA, he was the beloved son of the late Harold L. and Margaret M. (Harner) Snyder. He received his Degree from Lehigh University in Administration in 1979, Masters Degree in Chemistry from Trenton University (now called The College of New Jersey) in 1974, A Bachelors Degree in chemistry from Bloomsburg University in 1965, and was a 1959 graduate of Mt. Carmel High School.
Mr. Snyder worked as a Chemist for various jobs where he was focusing on doing research. In 1980 he started his own business, Hydrodyne Analyses, Inc., and later, JW Testing, in Silverdale, PA, where he worked until his retirement in 2022.
He was a member of Renew Bible Church, Perkasie, PA.
Mr. Snyder was a simple man; he was a very hard worker and took pride in his work and in providing for his family. You could always find him tinkering with anything and everything around his lab. Mr. Snyder particularly loved to eat and enjoyed going out and seeing new places and trying different restaurants; and after a good meal, or at pretty much any time of day or night, you could find him enjoying a nap. Jade was always up for a spirited discussion, but most of all he was a family man and he loved his wife and children.
Surviving with his loving wife, are his two children, Stacy Smith and her husband Charles, of Pipersville, PA, and Jonathan Snyder, of Silverdale, PA; eight grandchildren, B. Elizabeth Snyder, Chase Scott, McKenzie Scott, Cheyenne Scott, Darby Straub and her husband David, Joshua Snyder, Briella Snyder, and Justice Snyder; a great grandson Easton Straub; a sister Elaine Scott.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Harold L. Snyder Jr., and a brother-in-law, Robert Scott.
His Funeral Service will be held at 1:00PM on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at the Sadler-Suess Funeral Home, 33 N. Main Street, Telford, PA. Interment will follow at Hilltown Baptist Church Cemetery, 199 Chalfont Rd, Chalfont, PA 18914. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choosing.
