Ruschmann
March 9, 1955 – September 16, 2023
Hope Dorothea Ruschmann, of Doylestown and formerly of Perkasie, PA, passed away Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Doylestown Hospital, Doylestown Twp., PA. She was 68.
She was the wife of James K. Ruschmann.
Born in Sellersville, PA, she was the daughter of Caroline A. (Royer) Bishop, of Perkasie, and the late Roy Weaver.
Hope was employed as an assembler for Aquarium Pharmaceutical, Chalfont, PA, for a number of years until retiring in 2001. Previously, she worked for Accupac, Telford, PA, as well as the former Royal Pants Factory and the former Wispese Girdle Factory, both in Perkasie.
She was a member of St. Andrew's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Perkasie, where she sang in the Children and Youth Choirs.
Hope volunteered for many years with the Perkasie Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. An avid collector of light houses, she especially enjoyed camping with her Uncle Arthur during her younger years.
Surviving with her husband and mother are three children, Christina A. Martes and her partner Justin Kelley, of Schwenksville, PA, Jason P. Kemmerer, and Nathan A. Kemmerer and his wife Kimberly, of Bardstown, KY; nine grandchildren, two brothers, Dale Weaver, of Sellersville, and Thomas Weaver and his wife Lois, of Surprise, AZ; and two sisters, Sandra Renner and her husband Gregory, of Perkasie, and Carrie Rice of Brodnax, VA. She was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth H. Weaver, and a stepfather, Webster Bishop.
Her Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 28, 2023, at the Suess-Gahman Funeral Home, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, where family and friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in St. Andrew's Union Cemetery, Perkasie.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Suess-Gahman Funeral Home at the above-listed address to help defray funeral costs.
