Hilda Van Fossen, of Perkasie, PA, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at Grand View Hospital, Sellersville, PA.  She was 79.

She was the loving wife of Joseph Van Fossen.  The couple had celebrated their 34th Wedding Anniversary on September 30, 2023.

Born in Fall River, MA, she was the daughter of the late Joao and Almirinda (Barboza) Dias.  She was a 1963 graduate of Colt High School, Bristol, RI.

Mrs. Van Fossen was employed by Silverdale Brethren in Christ Church, Silverdale, PA, for many years where she was a member, served as a Deacon on the Church Board and taught Sunday School.

An accomplished crafter, she was a talented knitter, crocheter and painter as well.

Surviving with her husband are three sons, Mark W. Cressman and his wife Christina, of Blountville, TN, Kevin J. Cressman, of Eagle, PA, and Kenneth N. Cressman, Jr., of Sykesville, MD; two stepchildren, Colleen Bounitas and her husband Thomas of North Carolina, and Joseph Van Fossen, Jr. and his wife Corie, of Green Lane, PA; five grandchildren, Angela Elizabeth Bruno and her husband Michael, Calvin Thomas Cressman, Milena Marie Cressman, Kevin Gabriel Cressman and Alexandria Elizabeth Cressman; six step-grandchildren, Quinten Van Fossen, Spencer Van Fossen, Vivian Van Fossen, Amanda Eiler, Heather Bounitas and Brittany Bounitas; and three great-grandchildren, Jameson Joseph Bruno, Evelyn Rose Bruno and Piper Elizabeth Bruno.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by five sisters, Flora Cardozo, Rose Stone, Lydia Miranda, Anna Cruz, and Christine Reynolds.

Family and friends are invited to attend her Viewing to be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at the Suess-Gahman Funeral Home & Crematory, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, PA.  Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at the funeral home.

Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family in Silverdale Brethren in Christ Cemetery, Silverdale, PA.
