Obituary

Henry Dyck, 77, of Hatfield, PA passed away suddenly on Friday, February 17, 2023, at his residence.

He was the loving companion of Ruth Ann Petrosky for forty years.

Born in Von Oberschreiberhau, Germany in 1945, Henry was a son of Henry Dyck and Justina Janssen.  He immigrated to the US with his mother and six siblings in 1959.

After graduating high school, Henry was an Auto Mechanic at Bergey's until 1999.  Then in 2000 he established and operated a Reflexology/Massage Therapy Practice until his retirement in 2016. Henry is known best for wearing Hawaiian shirts which match his colorful personality.  He loved traveling all over the world and was blessed to have visited places such as South America, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.  Most of all, Henry loved his kids and grandkids, some of their most cherished memories being their family trips to the Outer Banks.

In addition to Ruth Ann, Henry is survived by two daughters, Barbara Ann Steiner (Larry Miller) of Hatfield and Julie Taylor (Marc) of North Wales; a son, Aaron Dyck (Anne Axilrod) of Hatfield; and a stepson, Mark Petrosky of Vermont.  Henry also leaves behind nine grandchildren, Robert, Lucenda, Joshua, Jon, Michelle, Morgan, Oliver, Amelia, and Gabriel; and siblings Jacob Kowalenko, Peter Kowalenko, Rose Landis, and Kathy Wilde.

Henry is preceded in death by a son, Henry Joseph "Joe" Dyck, and siblings David Dyck and Gerhart Dyck.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, February 25 th , 2023 at 11 AM in Plains Mennonite Church, 50 W. Orvilla Rd., Hatfield, PA 19440.  Family will receive friends from 9-11 AM, prior to the service.  Interment is private at the convenience of the family.
