Obituary

Helen Stever, 93, passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Lutheran Community at Telford.

She was the loving wife of J. Walter Stever with whom she would have celebrated 71 years of marriage in May.

Born in Coopersburg, PA., she was the daughter of the late Morris R. and Mabel (Sames) Barndt.

After graduating high school, Helen continued her education to obtain her nursing degree. She worked as a Registered Nurse at Quakertown Community Hospital, Peter Becker Community, and Souderton Mennonite Community.

Helen enjoyed baking, reading, gardening and family activities. Helen's grandchildren were her pride and joy and she devoted many years to raising them and eventually her great-grandchildren too.

She spent over fifteen years volunteering at Daily Bread Community Food Pantry and she was a dedicated member of Little Zion Lutheran Church.

In addition to her husband, Helen is survived by four children, Donna Lynn Nace and her husband Gary, of Ephrata, PA, Joel D. Stever and his wife Loretta, of Schwenksville, PA, Brian E. Stever and his wife Donna, of Red Hill, PA and Brent A. Stever and his wife Tammy, of Bedminster, PA; seven grandchildren; Amy, Allen, David, Leah, Matthew, Abigail and Chrysta and seven great-grandchildren, Dylan, Caroline, Eva, Wyatt, Molly, Hudson and Nolan.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at 11AM at Little Zion Lutheran Church, 267 Morwood Road, Telford, PA. Family will receive friends from 10AM to 11AM prior to the service. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family in Tohickon Union Cemetery.
