Obituary

H. Calvin Weikel, of Perkasie, PA, passed away Monday, November 28, 2022, at his home. He celebrated his 100 th birthday on October 16, 2022.

He was the loving husband of Doris (Lamont) Weikel.  The couple had celebrated their 74 th Wedding Anniversary on March 6, 2022.

Born in Prospectville, PA, he was the son of the late Harry F. and Emma May (Ritter) Weikel.  He was a 1945 graduate of Ambler High School, Ambler, PA.

Mr. Weikel began his farming career working on his uncle's farm in Prospectville.  In 1952, he purchased his own dairy and crop farm in Perkasie which he operated for over 70 years.

He was a member of Calvary Church, Souderton, PA, where he served as a Church Usher.

A member of the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau, Mr. Weikel loved farming and animals.  He enjoyed driving and traveling, as well as eating, especially at Shady Maple Smorgasbord in East Earl, PA.  Most of all, he will be remembered for his love for his family, especially his love for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving with his wife are three children, Kathleen G. Moyer and her husband Stephen E., of Perkasie, PA, A. Bruce Weikel and his wife Gretchen (Guenther), also of Perkasie, and Judith E. Kehr and her husband Jeffrey L., of Souderton, PA; four grandchildren, James Kehr and his wife Colleen, Rebecca Wagner and her husband Brian, David Weikel and his wife Amy, and Kathryn McKinley and her husband Christopher; and seven great-grandchildren, Bryn, Elsie, Greta, Delaney,  and Oliver Weikel, and Cameron and Emmeline Wagner.

His Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at Calvary Church Souderton, 820 Route 113, Souderton, PA, where family and friends may call from 12:00 to 1:00 PM.  Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Prospectville.
