Gloria M. Kline, of Perkasie, PA, passed away Friday, May 16, 2014 in Quakertown Center - Genesis Health Care, Quakertown, PA. She was 83. She was the wife of Clinton David "Hocker" Kline. The couple celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary on December 11, 2013. Born in Quakertown, she was the daughter of the late Irwin S. and Emma E. (Moll) Leister. She was a 1949 graduate of Quakertown High School. Mrs. Kline worked as a secretary for Dr. Price, Conrad and Moll, Perkasie for over 10 years, retiring in the late 1990's. Prior to that, she worked for the Robert Mitchell Insurance Agency, Perkasie. An avid reader, she also enjoyed gardening, canning and freezing. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. Surviving with her husband is a son, David C. Kline, of New Hope, PA and a daughter, Lori J. Hellmann and her husband Thomas, of Telford, PA; two granddaughters, Caitlin and Kelsey Callahan; a sister, June Laudenslager, of Aurora, CO; two brothers, Durrell Leister, of Quakertown and Eugene Leister and his wife Edith, of Quakertown; two sister-in-laws, Shirley Leister, of Quakertown and Dorothy Green, of Telford; a brother-in-law, Robert Shive, of Quakertown. She was preceded in death by sisters, Dorothy Rothenberger, Ethel Bigler, Betty Meihoffer, Eleanor Reese and Emma Shive and brothers, William Leister and Harry Leister, who was killed in action during World War II. Her memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at the Bernard Suess Funeral Home, Inc., 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, where family and friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will be held privately in the Perkasie Mennonite Cemetery, Hilltown, PA.
