Gerda K. Sadlers, 89, of Telford, and formerly Rahway, NJ, passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2015 in the Lutheran Community at Telford. She was the beloved wife of the late Martin Sadlers who died in 1998. Born in Schweischer, Romania, she was the daughter of the late Hans W. and Katharina (Bartesch) Schuster. She, her husband, and daughter emigrated to New Jersey from Germany in 1956. While living in Germany, she was employed as a registered nurse. While residing in New Jersey, she did office work for RCA, Quinn & Boden Company, and Allstate Legal Supply. Mrs. Sadlers was a very dedicated and active member of Zion Lutheran Church in Rahway, NJ where she taught Sunday School, and participated in the Altar Guild, Lutheran Women, Bible studies, and "The Loyals" group, along with her husband. She also attended the Prayer and Praise Group at the Prayer Chapel. In her free time she enjoyed knitting, sewing, reading, gardening, cooking, and traveling, especially down the shore. She is survived by two daughters: Ingrid Wilson and her husband Alan of Jonesborough, TN, Susan Paff and her husband William of Dublin, PA, a granddaughter, Jenna, and her granddogs: Kasper, Garth, and Lolly. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Hilde, and two brothers: Gerold and Erwin. Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at 2:30 PM in the Chapel at Lutheran Community at Telford. Interment will be held privately in Hazel Wood Cemetery, N.J. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to a favorite charity, your church, or The Seeing Eye, Inc., P.O. Box 375, Morristown, N.J. 07963.
