George O.
Reber
June 14, 1957 – January 15, 2024
George O. Reber, of Perkasie and formerly of Chalfont, PA, passed away suddenly on Monday, January 15, 2024. He was 66.
He was the loving husband of 35 years of the late Katherine A. (Williamson) Reber until her passing on July 29, 2020.
Born at Germantown Hospital, in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Rodrick and Marjorie (Smith) Reber.
A 1975 graduate of Central Bucks West High School, Doylestown, PA, he attained a Certificate in Collision Appraisal.
Following a nine-year career in collision appraising, he retired in 2014 as a collision estimator with Thompson Collision, Plumsteadville, PA, where he worked since 2005. Previously, he was employed as a collision expert for 29 years for Holbert's, Warrington, PA, where he worked as a painter for the Holbert's Race Team during the late 1980's and early 1990's. He was proud to have been a member of the winning LeMans Race Team in 1986. He also painted "Indy" cars for the MacKenzie Race Team over the years.
In addition to his interest in cars and motorcycles, George enjoyed traveling with his wife, skiing and cooking. Active in a summer volleyball league, he was fond of hanging out with his friends and going out to breakfast. A Dairy Queen fan, he loved listening to music and playing guitar. But, most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by two sons, Alexander D. Reber, of Bernville, PA, and Owen T. Reber and his wife Kimberly, of Perkasie; two grandchildren, Taylor and Marleigh Reber; a brother, Rodrick Reber and his wife Connie, of Maple Glen, PA; and a sister, Anna Huuki and her husband Loren, of Plumsteadville, PA.
His Celebration of Life Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are by the Suess-Gahman Funeral Home & Crematory, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, PA.
