Gary T. Hooper, of Trumbauersville, PA, passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at St. Luke's Hospital of Bethlehem, Bethlehem, PA.  He was 59.

Born in Sellersville, PA, he was the son of the late Thomas J. and Theresa A. (McIntyre) Hooper.  A 1982 graduate of Pennridge High School, Perkasie, PA, he attended the Philadelphia Art Institute.

During the mid-1980's, Gary served with the U. S. Navy and was stationed on the U.S.S. Hunley.

He was employed as a school bus driver for the Levy School Bus Company, Trumbauersville, for two years.  Earlier, he drove bus for the Palisades School District, Kintnersville, PA, and Bucks County Transport, Holicong, PA.  Prior to that, he worked as a machinist and, in his younger years, he was employed by the former BFI Company.

An accomplished artist, Gary was very talented in the arts of graphite drawing, air brushing, sculpting, as well as mural and oil painting.  Also an author, he wrote the book "Centrovis" that was in the publication process.  And, he loved to sing and play the guitar.

He is survived by four children, Evan O. Hooper, of North Carolina, and Kolette Nicole Hooper, Michaela Catherine Hooper and Aaron A. Hooper, all of Perkasie, PA; two grandchildren, Charlotte Day Hooper and Amelia Grace Hooper; a sister, Wendy Hager, of Green Lane, PA; his girlfriend, Justine M. Zeigafuse, of Kintnersville, PA; his two feline fur babies, Urban and Shrancha; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Austin James Hooper, in 1995.

His Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 27, 2022, at the Suess-Gahman Funeral Home, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, where family and friends may call from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM.
