July 10, 1947 – September 6, 2024
Frank J. Moran, Jr., 77, of Souderton passed away peacefully on Friday, September 6, 2024, at his home, surrounded by family.
He was the loving husband of Holly (Hooven) Moran, having celebrated their 37th anniversary in August.
Born in Philadelphia, Frank was the son of the late Frank J. Moran Sr. and Evelyn (Luterotty) Kirk.
Frank enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served during the Vietnam War. Frank graduated from Drexel University and was employed at Leeds & Northrup and then Brooks Instruments as an Engineering Specialist.
In his free time, Frank loved trips to the New Jersey shore, particularly Avalon, as this is where he met his wife. Frank was a voracious reader, having a collection of books that rivaled some libraries. Frank was a"people person" and always enjoyed lively conversations. He was known for his sense of humor, as well as the stories he shared. Frank was fiercely independent and stayed active during his younger days with running and playing soccer, and later studying karate.
In addition to his wife, Frank is survived by his son Matthew Antunes of Charlotte, NC; his daughter Heather (Antunes) Williams, her husband, Brook, and their three children, Tanner, Thatcher and Hayden, of Telford, PA. He is also survived by brothers, Mike Moran and his wife, Mandy, of Bellevue, NE; Randy Moran of Spokane, WA; Kenn Redd and his wife, Natalie, of Mohrsville, PA; and his sister, Joyce Lindenmuth of Pottsville, PA.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at Salford Mennonite Church, 480 Groff's Mill Road, Harleysville, PA 19438. Friends and family are welcome to visit from 10:00AM until the time of the service at the church. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
