Frances R. Gilbert, 88, of the Lutheran Community at Telford, passed away at her residence on April 9, 2025.   She was the wife of the late Victor Gilbert.  Remembering her special times with her late husband, she and Victor were avid square dancers and for approximately 18 years they travelled the country square dancing.

Born in Croydon, PA  she was the daughter of the late George F. Aufschlag and Frances H. (Tuliback) Aufschlag.

Mrs. Gilbert was a graduate of  Delhaas High school and graduated in 1951.  While in high school, she played in their choir.  In her early years, she worked as a secretary at Delhaas High school.  Frances then had a career at St. Luke's Lutheran Church where she was a secretary for 30 years before becoming a homemaker.

Frances was a very active member within her community being involved with the Girl Scouts, being on various boards and committees for St. Luke's Lutheran Church, she conducted a craft club at the Church in Croydon in which culminated into a craft show at Christmas time and the show attracted many people from the community.   She was a Den mother for the Cub Scouts.

Mrs. Gilbert was an avid flower grower.  She had 15 flower beds around the lawn and her house.  She also had flowers inside the home year-round.

She is survived  by a son, Paul V. Gilbert, of Benzonia, MI and a sister Janice (Dan) Buzz of Langhorne, PA.

She was preceded in death by her sister Catherine Schrenk.

A graveside service will be held at 9:00AM on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church cemetery, Telford, PA.
