Esther M. Davis, formerly of Coopersburg, Pennsylvania, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 17, 2022, with her daughter and granddaughter by her side.

She was the beloved wife of the late Roy W. Davis who died in 1989.

She was previously employed in the assembly department at Penn Engineering (formerly Pittman Corporation) in Sellersville, Pa. and retired in 1990.

Esther was a member of Souderton Brethren in Christ Church for 55 years and faithfully attended and served with the kitchen staff for breakfasts and special events.

Esther was an excellent gardener and a talented seamstress.  After her retirement she had an alterations business and spent many hours at her sewing machine.  Sewing, quilting and rug making were some of her hobbies and she created many items for family and friends.  Her large garden was meticulous and bountiful.  She has shared and taught the love of sewing and gardening to her family.  She also loved to dress up and wear her high heels even into her 90's.  Growing up during the great depression, she learned to be very resourceful and despite not having much formal education, she never stopped learning.

Esther will be greatly missed by her immediate and extended family.  She loved the many reunions and treasured her regular conversations with all of her siblings and her many nieces and nephews.

Esther is survived by her daughter, three grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, a brother and two sisters.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, six brothers and a sister.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 28, 2022 at 12:00 PM in the Souderton Brethren in Christ Church, 494 Cherry Road, Souderton, Pa. 18964.  Interment will follow at Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Prospectville, Pa.  Family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. prior to the service.  Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Souderton Brethren in Christ Church at the above address.
