Ellen S. Baker, 90, of Sellersville, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family  on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at her residence.

She and her beloved husband Winfield Baker Jr. had celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary in June.

Born in Lansdale, she was a daughter of the late Elmer and Clara (Myers) Swartz.

Mrs. Baker worked in various companies throughout her life, she was a seamstress at the former Sackman's clothing, she also worked at the former Peerless Footwear plant, as well as the former American Olean Tile, in Lansdale. Ellen also worked as a waitress at the former Fred Hagey's restaurant and Lets Drive in.

She was a member of the Souderton Seventh Day Adventist Church, where she served as part of the potluck kitchen team as well as part of the Dorcas association. In her free time, she enjoyed being with her family and helping them in any way, she enjoyed shopping and couponing and would often remind family members they were welcome to come raid her pantry.  Ellen loved Christmas and could often be found baking cookies by the tray to be handed out to family and friends. Ellen enjoyed camping, gardening, and spending time with her family.  One of her favorite things was just taking rides with her husband.  Ellen was also known to love a good hug.

In addition to her husband, Ellen is survived by son Wayne of Sellersville, daughters, Wendy Keppel and her husband Edward of Beaver Pa. Tami Beam and her husband Rick of Perkasie. Grandchildren; Elodie Witkowski, Donald Miller, Jason Rosenberger, Alan Beam, and Joshua Rosenberger. Great grandchildren; Alana, Gavin, and Paige. Ellen was predeceased by brothers, Lloyd, David, Elmer, and Joe Swartz and a sister Marion Myers

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 3, 2023, in the Souderton Seventh Day Adventist Church. 207 E. Broad Street, Souderton, PA, 18964. Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service in the Church.  Interment will follow in Trinity Cemetery, Telford PA.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Pat Baker Poor Fund at the church's address.  Arrangements are by the Sadler-Suess Funeral Home, Telford, PA. 18969.
