Navarro
April 4, 1932 – December 5, 2023
Elizabeth "Betty" Navarro, of Blooming Glen, and formerly of Perkasie and Sellersville, PA, passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at home. She was 91.
She was the loving wife of nearly 25 years of the late Albert P. Navarro until his passing on October 20, 2018.
Born in Jamison, PA, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Ethel (Hare) Roberts.
Mrs. Navarro was employed as a waitress for the Warrington Motor Lodge, Warrington, PA, for 47 years until retiring in 1989.
She was a member of the Souderton Seventh Day Adventist Church, Souderton, PA, where she served as the Head Deaconess.
An avid gardener, Mrs. Navarro also enjoyed reading, solving puzzles, crocheting blankets, birdwatching and feeding the animals. Most of all, she will be remembered for her love for her role of mother and grandmother.
She is survived by three children, Shirley Ely and her husband James, of Jim Thorpe, PA, Carl Messina and his wife Amie, of Doylestown, PA, and Laurie Liddy and her husband Michael, of Doylestown; ten grandchildren, Amy McClintock, Jan Spink, Jenny McClintock, Andrea King, Tina Parker, Christa Amen, Shannon Smith, Elizabeth McGrath, Roman Messina and Marisa Messina; nine great-grandchildren, Jonathan King, Autumn Buckner, Kayla Spink, Hailli Diamond, Jacob Diamond, Nicholas Pileggi, Dean Pileggi, Holden Pileggi, and Julian McClintock; four brothers Norman Large and his wife Beverly, of Quakertown, PA, Frank DeMoreland and his wife Jeanette, of Moreland, PA, Edward Moyer, of New Jersey, Bruce Froehlich; and three sisters, Annie Renz and her husband Eugene, of Warrington, PA, Helen McKay, of Cape May, NJ, and Patricia Stout, of West Virginia.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Smith, on October 15, 2017, two brothers, Charles Smith and James, and two sisters, Doris Theosidou and Ethel Froehlich.
Her Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, December 18, 2023, at the Souderton Seventh Day Adventist Church, 207 E. Broad Street, Souderton, PA, where family and friends may call from 9:00 to 10:00 AM. Interment will follow on Monday, December 18, 2023, at 1:00 PM in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Souderton Seventh Day Adventist Church, 207 E. Broad Street, Souderton, PA 18964.
Arrangements are by the Suess-Gahman Funeral Home, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, PA.
