Elizabeth A. "Betty" Gabel, of Perkasie, PA, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at her home.  She was 77.

She was the loving wife of 44 years of the late Clair H. Gabel until his passing on July 13, 2019.

Born in Shamokin, PA, she was the daughter of the late Marlin and Dorothy (Martin) Shaffer.  She was a 1963 graduate of Pennridge High School, Perkasie.

Following her high school graduation, Mrs. Gabel was employed as a bookkeeper for Brown Automotive, Perkasie, for a number of years until becoming a homemaker to raise her son.  During the 1990's, she worked for Thomas & Betts, Perkasie, and later she was employed as an assembler for Accu-Sort, Montgomeryville, PA, for eight years until retiring in 2005.

An avid reader, she also enjoyed solving word puzzles.

She is survived by her son, Nathaniel H. Gabel and his wife Jennifer, of Sellersville, PA; a grandson, Connor Gabel; a sister, Virginia "Ginny" Shaffer, of Perkasie; and a niece, Alicia Klinger.

Graveside Services with interment in the Tohickon Union Cemetery, Weisel, PA, will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
