Elaine P. Vanderslice, formerly of Sellersville and Willow Grove, PA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at Independence Court, Quakertown, PA, at the age of 91.

She was the beloved wife of 57 years of the late Jack R. Vanderslice, Sr., until his passing on August 14, 2009.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late August and Marie (Knapp) Benz. Elaine was a 1951 graduate of Simon Gratz High School, Philadelphia.

Until retiring in 1995, Elaine worked as a secretary at McNeil Pharmaceuticals, Fort Washington, PA, for 20 years, bringing dedication and warmth to her role.

She was a member of Jarrettown United Methodist Church, Dresher, PA, where she sang in the Church Choir, and the former First United Methodist Church, Perkasie, PA.

Elaine particularly liked visiting the beach as well as traveling especially to destinations of Alaska, Bermuda, and the Bahamas. A dedicated Philadelphia Phillies baseball fan, she loved trips to Phillies Spring Training over the years.  Having owned a camper in Sea Isle City, NJ, she enjoyed camping with her family in her younger years.

Elaine's faith was a source of strength and guidance throughout her life.  She was the heart of her family, always offering love, wisdom, and unwavering support.  Her kindness and gentle presence will be deeply missed but forever remembered by those who knew and loved her.

Surviving are three children, Judith "Judy" Anne Schwartz and her husband Paul, of Center Valley, PA, David William Vanderslice and his wife Leanne, of Hatboro, PA, and Karl Daniel Vanderslice and his wife Nell, of Horsham, PA; a daughter-in-law, Deborah "Debbie" Kirkland, of Perkasie, PA; a son-in-law, Leon W. "Bill" Brong, of Lehighton, PA; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jack R. Vanderslice, Jr., a daughter, Susan Marie Brong, a brother, Robert Benz, and three sisters, Carlyn Kostic, Margaret Barr and Elizabeth Dart.

Her Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 7, 2025, at the Suess-Gahman Funeral Home & Crematory, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, PA, where family and friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.  Interment will follow in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Prospectville, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
