Edward F. Stanley, of West Rockhill Twp., PA, passed away Monday, March 6, 2023, at his home. He was 81.
He was the loving husband of 52 years of the late Ruth G. (Bibic) Stanley until her passing on June 20, 2019.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Edward Francis Stanley and the late Anne (Evans) Stanley Zander.
Following his graduation from Catholic high school, he attained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University, Philadelphia, PA.
Mr. Stanley spent his entire professional career as a mechanical engineer with Linde, Blue Bell, PA, until retiring in 2013. Following his retirement, he continued working with the company as a consultant until 2020.
He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Sellersville, PA.
Mr. Stanley was a member of the Perkasie Owls Club Nest No. 1224, Perkasie, PA, as well as the Loyal Order of Moose No. 1539, Sellersville. An avid golfer, he enjoyed playing pool and belonged to a pool league. He was fond of tending to his bird feeders, but he will be especially remembered for his love for his family.
He is survived by two children, Michael Edward Stanley and his wife Jodi, of New Tripoli, PA, and Christine M. Benner and her significant other Randy Freeburg, of Perkasie; three grandchildren, Autumn Stanley and her fiancé Michael Saggiomo, Camille Stanley and her boyfriend Adam Rausch, and Franceska Benner; his adopted grandson, A. J. Klima; and a sister, Maryanne Minich, of Chicago, IL. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, John, David and William; and a sister, Frances.
His Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 13, 2023, at the Suess-Gahman Funeral Home, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, PA, where family and friends may call from 9:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
