Obituary

Edward F. Hogan, of Perkasie, PA, passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, in Grand View Hospital, West Rockhill Twp., PA. He was 86.

He was the husband of Suzanne M. (Melville) Hogan. The couple celebrated their 53 rd wedding anniversary on December 7, 2021.

Born in Auburn, NY, and raised in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Francis and Alice (Edwards) Hogan.  A 1954 graduate from LaSalle High School, Niagara Falls, NY, he went on to earn his Associate's Degree in Real Estate from Bucks County Community College, Newtown, PA,  in 1976.

Mr. Hogan served with the United States Navy during the Korean and Vietnam wars, serving from 1954 to 1974.  He was stationed at the naval bases in Pensacola, FL, Niagara Falls, NY, Lakehurst, NJ, and Willow Grove, PA.   Following his naval career, he sold real estate for Barringer Real Estate.  He then worked for the Bucks County Office of Employment and Training, retiring in 1999.

Mr. Hogan was a life member for the Perkasie Lions Clubs, where he served as the secretary for over 30 years.  He was Past President and Tail Twister.  He was the secretary of Camp Kirby, a member of the Perkasie Owls Club and the American Legion Post 255, Sellersville, PA. An avid dog lover, he would enjoy walks at the dog parks.  He also enjoyed photography. Most of all he loved being at home with his family and friends.

Surviving with his wife are his four sons, F. Michael Hogan and his wife Elaine, of Perkasie, PA, Peter N. Hogan and his wife Kendra, of Harleysville, PA, Edward J. Hogan and his wife Dorothy, of Albrightsville, PA, and Scott K. Hogan and his wife Elissa, of Franklin, TN; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son William E. Hogan, who passed in 1979, and a sister Dorothy Tyler.

His Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 9, 2022 at the Bernard Suess Funeral Home, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, PA, where family and friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.  A Lions service will be held at 10:45 AM.  Interment will be held privately in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Perkasie, PA.
