Obituary

Edward J. Grosik of the Lutheran Community at Telford died on Saturday, January 21, 2023.  He was 93.

His parents were Stanley and Helen (Swiatkowski) Groszyk, who emigrated with their families from Poland and settled in Philadelphia.  Ed and his twin brother, John, were born in 1929.

Ed was the loving husband of Norma (Mervine) Grosik.  They met at the respective ages of 16 and 15 and married five years later, leading to a true and lifelong mutual devotion.  They would have celebrated their 73 rd anniversary in 2023.

Ed began his career at Philco-Ford, moving from the factory floor to the drafting room, and eventually earned his degree in Mechanical Engineering, juggling work and the births of his two older children while attending Drexel University's night program.  He eventually used his engineering skills at U.S. Postal Service before retiring in 1990.

Ed was a devoted member of St. Agnes Parish in Sellersville, serving as a lector for many years.  He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, supporting their local charitable activities.  He was an active community volunteer until his health prevented him from continuing, most recently dedicating twelve years of service to Grand View Hospital.  Throughout his life, he enjoyed golfing, playing bridge, traveling, entertaining, and fixing anything and everything.  His most cherished times were those spent with Norma and his family and friends.

In addition to Norma, Ed is survived by his daughters, Linda Walsh (Bob Lee), Carol Clark (Joe), Janet Flood (Jim), his daughter-in-law, Cindy Grosik, eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his son, Edward, his brother, John, and his grandson, Evan Clark.

Services will be held on Wednesday, February 1, at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 445 N. Main Street, Sellersville, PA 18960, with the viewing from 10:00 to 10:45, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00.  Private interment will be at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne.  In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial donations to St. Agnes Catholic Church or the Knights of Columbus.  Arrangements by Sadler-Suess Funeral Home.
